Rebekah Cottrell is a Limited License Social Worker with over 18 years of experience working with youth and adults across diverse populations. She specializes in trauma-informed care and provides a safe, affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ clients. Rebekah is passionate about helping clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.

Rebekah utilizes a holistic, collaborative approach to therapy, believing that clients are the experts in their own lives. She incorporates evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, strength-based therapy, and play therapy to support clients in reaching their goals. Rebekah is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where individuals can express themselves openly while developing the tools needed to thrive.

She enjoys working with youth, young adults, families, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and has a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and those navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.

Education & Experience

Rebekah earned her Master of Social Work from Spring Arbor University. She has over 18 years of experience working with youth and adults in a variety of settings, including schools, foster care, religious organizations, and clinical environments.

Her professional experience includes working with emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth, individuals in the foster care system, domestic violence survivors and their children, and clients from diverse racial, cultural, and gender identities. She also has experience in peer mediation and conflict resolution, helping individuals build stronger relationships and find common ground.
